Hello, We have a VMWare Virtualization environment ESXi 8 with 3 host in a Cluster and are running in High Availability. All the host having 16 Core Physical CPU with Hyper Threading Enabled means 32 logical Cores. I have a lot of confusion regarding the license to purchase for WIndows Server 2019. What is the best way to identify that How many Windows server 2019 Standard licenses are to be purchased? 30 VM of Windows Server 2019 Standard proposed to be created on the Cluster, with all of them having 2 VCPU, how license will work for all the VM's on this case, and how licenses will be consumed in this case. As it is a cluser environment VM will be moved between different hosts during Failover. How license will work in this scenario. If I we are told to buy license for Windows Server 2019 Data Center, what is the best way to identifiy the licenses required. I appreciate your response on this.
