Where does the automatically created Relay get deployed on installation of a Power BI on-prem gateway?

As part of the Power BI gateway installation I can see that "An Azure Relay automatically gets installed in the same region selected for the on-premises data gateway during its configuration".

I'm wondering where that happens? Do we get visibility of it? Is the only use case for creating our own is when there is a need to use a different location?
