Considering buying new RAM for my PC, fits all criteria except MHz (Sorry for tags, no idea how that works)

I have an Otiplex 780 SFF. I want to increase RAM which means I'll have to buy 4 new RAM sticks. I found some that fit the criteria. It has 4Gb, DDR3 SDRAM, Non- ECC But, it runs up to 1333 MHz, my system board only works up to 1067 MHz. I've heard that if RAM sticks aren't compatible with the system board, it will crash and not work, so I don't want to spend money before buying new ones. I also don't want to mix and match with my current RAM unless I absolutely have to.

    Hi @SarmienJ ,

this is a hardware related question and not a supported topic in Microsoft Q&A .

You should ask the question in a "Dell related" support forums.
