How to run teams in opensuse 15.5?

I'm having some troubles joining meetings in chrome & edge in opensuse. Below are the versions:

chrome: 124.0.6367.118
edge: 126.0.2552.0
opensuse: 15.5

This is with KDE plasma desktop.

The error I see in the chrome development console is:

Attached are debug logs dumped immediately after failing to start a new meeting.

I am able to connect via firefox/opensuse, but the call quality is very poor with many dropped calls and interruptions. I am not experiencing any other networking problems witth hardwired ethernet - this problem seems to be isolated to teams.

I have cleared cache, rebooted, reinstalled, icognito, etc etc.

I was able to find an archived version of the teams RPM, but this is no longer supported and not a good long term solution. It also has had intermittent trouble connecting to meetings anyways.

I have observed this problem with "new" and "old" teams. New/old as defined by the new/old toggle in the web app.

Regarding the issue when trying to join a Teams meeting in Edge and Chrome, I think this may be caused by not adding the URL of Microsoft Teams to the list of sites that the browser should trust.

To resolve this issue, I suggest you update your browser settings by using the steps.

Please do the following in Microsoft Edge:

I'm sorry for the long delay in response.

Adding the mentioned sites to the cookie allowed lists did not work in edge nor chrome.

I'm not sure why I wasn't notified of activity on this thread, but I have added a daily reminder to check this thread.

We recommend that you follow the steps below to troubleshoot：

Clear your browser's cache and cookies:

For Edge, click the three dots in the upper right corner and select Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data. Select the time range as All Time, then select Cookies and Cached Images and Files. Then restart Edge. Do the same for Chrome.

Change browser settings:

Under Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced, accept First-party and Third-party Cookies and check the Always allow session cookies checkbox.

Select Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites and add the following URLs:

https://login.microsoftonline.com https://*.teams.microsoft.com

Update your browser and Teams:

Make sure your browser is up to date. Outdated browsers may not be fully compatible with the latest Teams features. Teams web client

If the problem persists, please temporarily use Firefox to join the meeting and report a problem here on the Teams web client, which will collect your problem log together. Thanks for your support and understanding.

I tried clearing the chrome/edge cache and cookies, but still the problem persists.

I have filed a bug via the "Report a problem" feature in both chrome and edge for this.

Sorry for the duplicate comment. The first comment didn't show up immediately when I posted it so I thought it got lost somewhere along the way, hence the second comment. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to delete comments.

Hi @Meyer, Eric

If you add the URL to the trusted site after clearing the cache, you still cannot join the meeting. We recommend that you report the issue at the avatar in the upper right corner of the Teams web client and submit the error log.
