Reset site in SCCM - Does it required during in-place OS upgrade

Dear Team,

We are planning to perform in-place OS upgrade for our primary server. When we have gone through the below MS article it says post upgrade we need to run rest site.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/servers/manage/upgrade-on-premises-infrastructure

It is worth mentioning here that, we recently had performed an in-place OS upgrade on our CAS server which did not require to reset the site.

Query- Does this reset site option is a mandatory or an optional thing and won't impact to the in-place OS upgrade process?

    Hi, @Anonymous

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

The article you provided states that a site reset is required after upgrading the OS of the primary site server. The decision to reset the site or not may depend on the specific circumstances of the upgrade and the current state of the site.

It is recommended to follow this article to ensure that the site is fully functional after the upgrade. However, it is worth noting that a site reset was not required after performing an in-place OS upgrade on your CAS server.
