How to get information about the SharePoint user for VBA
Sorry if these are dumb questions, I’m a teacher not a professional.
I have a spreadsheet which will be accessed by students and teachers in a school. The workbook will be accessed via SharePoint. I want the workbook to open in a different way, depending on who is opening it. I will do his using some VBA code.
I asked on another forum for a VBA function that would return information about the SharePoint user. I was advised that there is no such function but that I could try using the SharePoint REST API. They advised that this forum would be a good place to ask how to get the information into the Workbook.
I have noticed that other applications that we launch through our SharePoint ask the user to choose their Google Workspace Account to identify themselves, would this be an easier option?
