I can not update a stale vs license I get a script error trying to login to account

I got a stale license notice in cs 2017 community

I press check for updated license and get script error

same error if I just go to signin from app

i can get on my account fine on ms edge but no license shows for vs 2017

im stuck lease help

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A! 

    Please try the following workarounds:

    1. Update your VS 2017 to the latest version
    2. Try to sign in to your Visual Studio with a different account
    3. Clear your default browser’s cache and cookies  
    4. Close all running instances of Visual Studio
    5. Delete all files of %localappdata%\.Identityservice
    6. Relaunch your Visual Studio and sign in your account 

    By the way, please go to the Subscriptions page and ensure that you have a valid subscription.
