Components installed with VS2022 (e.g., .Net 8, .Net 6) are not shown separately in Windows settings for Apps or control panel's Programs and Features. These components have been updated as needed through the monthly patch Tuesday updates to VS through the Visual Studio Installer.
On May 14 (patch Tuesday) VS2022 17.9.7 updated installed .Net 8 and 6 components to 8.0.5 and 6.0.30, respectively.
On May 28 Microsoft released patches .NET 8.0 Update - May 28 2024 (KB5039845) and .NET 6.0 Update - May 28, 2024 (KB5039843), including security fixes, to "refresh" these installed .Net components to 8.0.6 and 6.0.31.
Will VS2022 17.9 be updated to incorporate these patches?

I just updated my Visual Studio 2022 to the latest version 17.10.1. It still shows .NET 8.0.5.
Regarding whether .NET 8.0.6 and 6.0.31 updates are included in Visual Studio, it is recommended that you confirm it with the .NET product team.
