Internal user and external cannot chat with each other in Teams

Hello 

 

Please i need your help on this issue.

 

We have one of our user who is able to chat with an external user in Teams. 

 

When ever he tries to chat with the external user he get the error message below: "External user need to accept your chat request before you can send your next message"

The only workaround we are using at the moment is that if we add them to a group they are able to chat each other.

    Hi @IniobongNkanga-8038

    I assume you haven't had replies, the person at the other organization needs to Allow chat to you, it's a mechanism that protects them from unwanted messages. They will be able to see the first few messages you sent to verify it really is you, then they get a button to accept. For more details, you could refer to:
