Hi everyone
i have a next situation, two organizations need improve collaboration and communication across tenants. We need view users in address book, simple chat in teams (no change profile), and so on.
what option is better in this case?

MTO is the only feature that offers those chat improvements, go with it. Other than that, cross-tenant sync is equivalent of the MTO, the latter just adds some GUI for easier configuration (and the aforementioned chat improvements, but that's Teams-specific implementation).

Cross-tenant synchronization automates provisioning external users across tenants.
MTO provides better user experiences in Teams for external users. MTO also provides a user interface to provision users, but that is just creating cross-tenant sync jobs under the cover.
You will effectively need both MTO + cross-tenant sync. They work together.
