Copying access to one-time passwords from one device w/ MS Authenticator to another

Hi all!

My challenge: my major Authenticator device has died and I do not have access anymore to my one-time passwords to various other applications.

The related data was backed-up and my thinking was that I should be able to recover it on another device, where I have MSA also installed under the same user account. What does not work though is that it is showing the same one-time password codes on this device as well (only a few, which have been there once I had originally set it up).

Devices are apple phone (the dead one) and iPad (the one which is still running) with iOS.

Is there a way to "recover" the codes from my "dead" device to the one, which is still working and setup?

Thanks for your help!

There is a way to recover your one-time passwords from your dead device to the one that is still working.

    Follow these steps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/restore-account-credentials-from-microsoft-authenticator-ce53096e-1e1c-4840-9e32-1618bc33cd43
