I'd check the manufacturer for the latest firmware, ROM bios, chipset and driver support packs.

I hope someone can please help me urgently. I have a voice over class and I spent $200 on a RODE NT USB Mic and I have an ENVY HP laptop that I purchased in 2018. I am attaching the mic to my USB port and it continues to error. I have done much research, and am not finding much. I have already uninstalled the faulty USB in device manager, and powered down my laptop, it still does not work. This should be such a simple process, but ofcourse- with Microsoft, somehow ends up difficult. Hoping someone has answers and can solve this problem for me.

You’d better ask for help from the after-sale support of your RODE NT USB Mic, you just bought it and spent $200, if this product has using issue, its seller should provide warranty. You could go to its manufacturer website to check if there is any necessary software need to be installed.
On Windows side, what we can do is limited, include uninstall and reinstall problematic device in device manager, update driver from manufacturer website and check for updates.
