Sounds like:
Outlook is forgetting my email password
Hi,
I just got a brand new PC with Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit. I installed the latest version of MS Office using my Office 365 subscription. When I open Outlook and go to File | Office Account | About Outlook, my Outlook version is reported as "Microsoft Outlook for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.13328.20350) 64-bit".
After installing Outlook and opening it for the first time, I added (and configured) my two email accounts. I entered the POP and SMTP account settings as recommended by my email provider and it worked on the first try. I was able to send and receive emails using both accounts. For both accounts, I selected the checkbox for Outlook to "remember" my passwords. After doing this, Outlook does remember my passwords, but only for a very short time. Within as little as a few hours, Outlook no longer remembers my passwords and I am prompted to enter them again.
If anyone can give me an idea why this might be happening, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks and best regards,
Paul

Agree with Andy, please first check if that's your issue as the article mentioned above. If that's not your case, considering it's the first time to configure your accounts in this PC, we could temporarily exclude the interfernce of some corrupted data files. As I know, the setting of "My outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication" may also affect the issue, and the password prompt may happen when you haven't configure your account appropriately(In general, we need to check this option), it's suggested to check and change your setting to see if the issue has any difference(Control Panel>Mails>Email Accounts>double-click your account>More settings>Outgoing server).
Hope that would be helpful to you, and if your issue has any update, please feel free to post back.
