Dear Community,

I am getting the error ""This query cannot be executed because we can't get enough capacity for optimal performance in time."" when running a query using a SQL Serverless endpoint in Synapse Analytics

This error occurs approx. 5min after running the Query. I am running very simple queries which usually return in under 60sec.

I have been experiencing this for the past 2+ hours and it is not isolated to just myself but other Data Engineers in my team.

Could you kindly advise.

The issue is due to an outage in UK south.

Product Group has been engaged, and they are currently working to mitigate the issue.

Here is the ICM number: 517575549. In case you have raised a support case, you can reference this ICM number.

Product Group has been engaged, and they are currently working to mitigate the issue.

This issue was resolved for me at 11:45am. I'm none the wiser if this was an actual outage on MS.
