Error Importing .JPG Files from Smartphone

When I try to import .JPG files from my smartphone I get an error message reading: "Fehler beim Importieren dieser Datei." This does not happen e,g, with Microsoft Paint or similar programs. Details see attachment.

What can be don to solve this problem? Does anyone know a workaround?

    How could you import images to Word?
    Did you do it via clicking Insert > Pictures? If not, you may try it for a test.

    According to the screenshot from your attachment, the images are stored on your local machine, please move them to another folder under your administrator account which has read and write permissions , such as "C:\Users\<Account Name>\Pictures".

    Besides, please refer to JohnKorchok's reply, save these images as other formats via Microsoft Paint and then test on Word.
