Azure Databricks on VNet - custom dns issue

I have created a data bricks workspace on a private Vnet, the cluster is failing to start with an error
Cluster terminated.Reason:Network configuration Failure The data plane network is misconfigured.
I am using an existing Vnet, it is already configured with custom DNS.
If I switch from my custom DNS to Azure provided DNS, the cluster is up and running fine.
Looking for some help on configuring with custom DNS.

I have already went through that thread, it talks about how to configure a custom DNS, which we already did.
Just to reiterate the problem: My cluster is not starting if i use custom DNS. It is working only with Azure provided DNS. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!!
