Are the proxyAddresses settings the same as the primary email address in Outlook?

Hi,
Currently, my company is using Azure SSO functionality, but for specific accounts, the primary email address displayed in Azure differs from the email address displayed in Outlook.
Upon checking in AD, the proxyAddresses SMTP setting matches the email address displayed in Outlook.
Will changing the proxyAddresses SMTP setting in AD to the desired email address ensure correct display?
If so, could you please provide instructions on how to proceed?

Looks like your issue is more related to the proxyAddresses settings, please kindly understand that the Outlook tag here we mainly focus on general issues about Outlook desktop client. In order to better resolve, i will add Microsoft Entra ID tag.
