Microsoft Authenticator TOTP copy delay

Question

Ever since the new experience was introduced in Microsoft Authenticator on iOS, I found there was a source of frustration: when you go to your Azure AD account to get your TOTP, it takes a second or two before you can tap the code to copy it to clipboard.

If you tap immediately when getting to the account screen the tap will just be ignored. It will only register after a second or so, after which the banner 'Code copied' will appear.

That is not a desired behavior, especially when you need to enter these codes many times a day. Tap-to-copy should work immediately.

Can this be fixed please?

Current version (though this has been going on for many months):

• Authenticator v6.5.4
• iOS 14.2.1
