Retention policy rule does not work in SharePoint Online

I have a site in SharePoint Online that maintains the orders. There are two content types in the Order Library: 1) Document Set 2) Document content type. We have a retention policy rule (IRM) at the "Document Set," which is supposed to move the document set from the active site to the record center site after the creation of two years of the document set. Earlier, we had this metadata rule: Order End Date + 90 days, where this retention trigger was working on a regular basis. But the day we changed the trigger rule to Created Date + 2 years, it stopped triggering.

Note:

The "order end date" and the "created date" are both metadata of the document set.

The difference is that the "created date" is not showing in English; it is displaying in some other language, but the "order end date" is showing in English. This is the only difference I could see between these two pieces of metadata. Will this be a problem for not triggering the retention policy rule with the "Created Date" but working with the "Order End Date"? Or are there any other reasons for not being triggered? Note: There are plenty of document sets with this criteria. Created Date + 2 years.

    Hi @SP 2022,

Do you mean that your retention policy doesn't work for existing Document Sets, right? How long have you waited for? It is controlled by the timer job in the backend. Wait for at least 24 hours. If the issue still persists, please let us know.
