Same problem Sep 2024 on Andriod.

I recently changed my android phone for a newer model and proceeded normally with the standard android apps backup and transfer. I ran into some problems with Microsoft Authenticator however. When i tried to log into the app with my personal account, it said: "Something went wrong. Try again". I've searched for a solution and already tried restoring from backup, but the same message pops up when I log my account. I also have already tried clearing the app's cache and storage and the problem persisted. I no longer have access to the authenticator app on my older device or any other mobile device. What can I do to access it again?

But to actually authenticate it and move on comes up on my old phone still. Tried unregistering on my old phone and deleting the account and even deleting the app. And now nothing works. The number to verify pops up on my new phone but no box or message ever appears for me to type in and verify that number. All my apps for work are unusable at the moment.
