Hi Team,

We have external team who work for us. We provide them laptops. The Email IDs are not created or managed by us and it's an external domain.

We want to bring those devices to intune. What is the best way to acchived that. We cant give premium license since they already have email id we just want them to enroll the device to intune and use Windows 11 Pro Business Licence thats it.

    Hi

Intune licence are per-user. You don't need a premium licence, but you will need to create a email/id for the user inside your tenant and assign a Intune licence to the user.

After that in the OOBE he could enroll the device using the created id/email you did, or he can enroll it after in the control panel, but the idea is he will add his other work account/id after in the control panel and select for that other account that he dont want it to manage the computer.

@Sriraman Nadar, Thanks for posting in Q&A.

From your description, I know you cannot assign premium licenses but want to manage external team's devices.

Based on my research, we can purchase device-only licenses and assign them to devices, so that you can manage devices that aren't affiliated with specific users.

They are applicable when a device is enrolled through any of the following methods:

However, there are some limitations when using device-only licenses, the following Intune functions aren't supported:

Hope above information can be helpful.
