Visio is opening two unrelated files at the same time.

Question

Recently when I have been using Visio, it is opening two files despite clicking open on a single file.

For instance, I want to edit File 'A'. Double click File 'A' leads to opening both File 'A' and 'B'. These two files are for some reason affiliated with each other it seems, and I do not want this to be happening. Looking for help in only having the one document opening at a time. Thank you.

Hi @JV

Please go to Visio, click File > Account > Product Information, check the version name.

I suggest you try following steps to have a check:

• Change the file save location
• Run Visio in Safe Mode first, then open one file to have a check. To run Visio in Safe Mode, please press and hold on Ctrl key, click or double-click Visio icon, until Viso asks do you want to start it in safe mode, then please release Ctrl key and click "Yes".
