Microsoft Partner role approval clarifications (GDAP)
I need clarification on managing roles and permissions for partners, sellers, and resellers in GDAP. Specifically, I have the following questions:
1 How can we modify the roles requested by partners/sellers/resellers once the request has been received?
We receive requests from our partners/sellers/resellers to assign specific roles. However, there are times when we need to make adjustments to these roles due to security reasons after the initial request. Could you please provide detailed instructions on how to proceed with modifying these requested roles without rejecting the same?
For example; A partner has requested for ‘Global Administrator’ along with a ‘Helpdesk Administrator’ role, but we do not wish to approve the former. Is there a way I can accept only the selected role?
2 How can we modify the permissions given to partners/sellers/resellers without removing all roles, i.e., removing only specific roles?
We need to modify permissions by removing specific roles rather than all roles assigned to a partner/seller/reseller. Could you please let us on know on how to accomplish this without having to start from scratch by removing all roles and requesting from the partners side followed by reassigning all required roles by us?
