Bugs in PL-300 Labs with text paste and captcha's

When downloading the lab files, clicking the "T" to paste the URL actually does this twice, and participants get a "webpage unavailable" error .

When clicking the "T" in the instructions next to the DAX expressions the participants need to create, only the top row of the expression (with only the measure name) is pasted. So participants need to manually put in the expression or use the snippets file which takes more time.

The captcha's are buggy. One captcha completed, I get a notification that I can proceed with the lab. But the "Start lab" button does not appear. A new captcha appears however, but after completing that one and clicking the Start lab button, I get an error that the lab is unavailable. Workaround is to refresh after completing the first captcha, then the Start lab button does appear and I am able to proceed.

Tested on the PL-300 lab "Create Advanced DAX Calculations in Power BI Desktop"

    Hi Martin Memelink,

    Thank you for your patience.

For issues related to incomplete code pasting when using the "T" button, please note that there are snippet files available with code blocks to support multi-line code. These snippet files are intended to provide the complete DAX expressions needed for the module. It seems the issue might be due to users not noticing or referring to the snippet.txt files as outlined in the instructions.

Typically, learning modules provide sample datasets or instructions for downloading them directly within the module. However, if the current module does not include these resources or instructions, you can download the sample data from the following link:

    https://microsoftlearning.github.io/PL-300-Microsoft-Power-BI-Data-Analyst/Instructions/Labs/00-setup.html

    Here’s what you should do:

    1. Click on the link to access the download page.
    2. Download the zip folder containing the sample datasets.
    3. Extract the files from the zip folder to your local machine.
    4. Follow the module instructions using the provided datasets.

If you are still facing any issue, please let us know in the comments. We are glad to help you.

    Thank you.
