How can I opt out of human review for my data in Azure OpenAI?

I am using sensitive data (MIMIC-III, MIMIC-IV, MIMIC-CXR) that I need to process with Azure OpenAI. According to the PhysioNet Credentialed Data Use Agreement, I understand that I need to opt out of the human review process provided by Azure OpenAI to comply with the data use restrictions.

I found that completing the "Azure OpenAI Additional Use Case Form" is necessary to opt out of human review, as mentioned on PhysioNet's website. Is this form sufficient to fully opt out of human review, or are there any additional steps or precautions I need to take to ensure full compliance with both Azure's policies and the data use agreement?

Any guidance on this process would be greatly appreciated.

GY Jeong Greetings & Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Is this form sufficient to fully opt out of human review, or are there any additional steps or precautions I need to take to ensure full compliance with both Azure's policies and the data use agreement?

Yes, Microsoft allows customers who meet additional Limited Access eligibility criteria and attest to specific use cases to apply to modify the Azure OpenAI content management features by completing this form.

To empower enterprise customers and to strike a balance between regulatory / privacy needs and abuse prevention, the Azure Open AI Service will include a set of Limited Access features to provide potential customers with the option to modify following:

    1. abuse monitoring
    2. content filtering

These Limited Access features will enable potential customers to opt out of the human review and data logging processes subject to eligibility criteria governed by Microsoft’s Limited Access framework. Customers who meet Microsoft’s Limited Access eligibility criteria and have a low-risk use case can apply for the ability to opt-out of both data logging and human review process. This allows trusted customers with low-risk scenarios the data and privacy controls they require while also allowing us to offer AOAI models to all other customers in a way that minimizes the risk of harm and abuse.

Please see Data, privacy, and security for Azure OpenAI Service for more details.

Also, see below for more details on data protection.

Do let me know if that helps or have any other queries.
