Mic.Autheticator and Outlook Login Issue

Question

Unfortunately, my phone got damaged during my vacation (water damage). Additionally, my old phone number was deactivated since I have been using a new one for a year now. The old number was registered as the 2-step verification for my Outlook account. I was also using the Microsoft Authenticator, but due to the phone switch, I no longer have access to it.

I do have access to the registered email address, which is a Gmail account. However, the verification code is still being sent to my old phone number, which I can no longer access.

I kindly request assistance in removing the old phone number from my Outlook account and registering the new number as the authenticator.
