How to open a graphic embedded in word 2016 in its native application

I can using Insert Object to insert a VISIO file as a graphic into Word 2016.
I used to be able to open it inside VISIO by Right Click and Edit Visio.
Now I don't have the option, only to VISIO Object : convert
So what is going wrong?

2024-08-22T10:35:35.6933333+00:00 OK have found a work around. When you insert a visio graphic into a word document, store it as a linked file
Then right click on the embedded object, you can go to Links. From Link you can open the source file:
And you can then edit the visio properly. However this is slow and cumbersome, it also doesn't explain why I can see the "Edit Visio" or "Open Visio" when I right click on the embedded graphic. I think the question is "Is my word application broken? How do I fix? Or is it badly broken?"
