Just did fresh install of Windows 11 on a new nvme drive. Still experiencing the same Event id 41 kernel power error thats been plaguing me on Win10 for months. Pc only runs a few mins before crash. I enabled full minidump setting but I still get no minidump in win10 or 11. Any advice on how to begin diagnosing the cause? Thanks.

Posting the BSOD information would be useful. A crashdump is almost always generated. Run Reliability History and it should show you the crashes. Click the crash and see if it shows you a crash dump option. If not then go to C:\Windows\Minidump folder and see if there is a recent crash dump file.

Just based on your information then it sounds like a hardware issue, perhaps with the power supply or a fault in the motherboard or something. But the dump will help with this.

    Hello,

The Event ID 41 Kernel-Power error can be quite frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

    Check for Hardware Issues:

Power Supply: Ensure your power supply unit (PSU) is functioning correctly. A faulty PSU can cause sudden shutdowns.

RAM: Run a memory diagnostic tool to check for any issues with your RAM.

Overheating: Monitor your system temperatures to ensure it’s not overheating.

    Update Drivers:

Make sure all your drivers, especially for the motherboard, GPU, and sound card, are up to date.

    Check for System File Corruption:

Run and in Command Prompt to repair any corrupted system files.

    sfc /scannow

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.

    Run Power Troubleshooter:

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Power and run the troubleshooter.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
