Sharepoint 404 FILE NOT FOUND, but the site keeps sending sync errors to all members

Hello, I have created a Sharepoint site and later deleted this one. The site still shows up on my Sharepoint home page and keeps sending sync errors to all members everyday. I tried to open the site and delete it again, but the Sharepoint site showed "404 FILE NOT FOUND".

I tried to copy and paste "_layouts/15/viewlsts.aspx?view=14" to the end of the Sharepoint site link, but it still showed "404 FILE NOT FOUND".

I am completely lost here. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

This can happen if the site was not deleted properly and some files or pages are still present. You can try to restore the site from the recycle bin or the second-stage recycle bin by following the steps provided in the "Restore a deleted home page" section of the "Error: 404 File/Page not found" in OneDrive or SharePoint article. If the site is not found in the recycle bin, you can check whether the site was deleted or redirected by following the steps provided in the "Check whether the site was deleted" and "Check whether the site was redirected" sections of the same article.
