Intune Auto-update with supersedence not working

Hi, We are trying out the new auto-update feature with supersedence that was introduced in April 2024

The app updates only shows up as "available updates" in the company portal but they never actually update automatically even though the devices has synced/checked in more than two times and the auto-update checkbox is checked when creating the app.

We did get this to work back in May a couple of times with exactly the same settings as we use now which leads me to believe this is some kind of bug.

Back then when an update didn't run automatically despite checking in the device multiple times, I just deleted the app, created the .intunewin file again and recreated the app in Intune. Then it would usually start working. That does not work anymore.

    For this issue, what you configured is correct. It seems something wrong with this feature. With Q&A limitation, it is suggested to create an online support to feedback this issue. Maybe there is a fix from backend. Here is the support link:
