List item search not working properly for Managed Metadata field

In list webpart, when we are searching for a Managed Metadata field value with its managed property, it is not working as expected for certain values. Partial match is working fine.
This is how we are searching:
<Managed Property>: <Managed Metadata value>
Below partial match is working:
<Managed Property>: <Managed Metadata value partial match>
Kindly advise.
