Why does the column line goes back even after expanding it to the size of the longest file name in a folder? How to expand the column line across all the folders in all the drives to the size of the longest file name in each folder, permanently?

    Hi B.S. Vijay Anand,

You can first expand the columns in a folder, then select View > Options in Windows 10 or ... > Options in Windows 11, switch to the View tab and click the Apply to Folders button to apply the changes to all the folders.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
