Access mail merge error

I have office 365. Paid the subscription fee for years. However, when I click on the mail merge wizard in access and choose either "Link your data to an existing Microsoft Word Document" or "Create a new document and then link the data to it." I get a Mail merge Wizard pop up that says "Microsoft Word is required to run the Mail Merge Wizard." Can anyone, even those smarter than everyone else MVP folks, point me in the right direction to solving this? I searched and looked online and can't find a solution to my problem. It doesn't make any sense. Oh. do me a favor, pretend I'm the dumbest person alive and spell it out for me. Don't talk in code. Thanks

I have same problem, fomerly on just one computer, now on two. I am running:

    Microsoft® Access® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2305 Build 16.0.16501.20074) 64-bit

The error message that Access provides goes on to say it's a problem with running macros on untrusted locations, but the path indicated has been listed as a trusted site.

I had a user with this same issue yesterday. She had the same version of access as mentioned in the chat- Microsoft® Access® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2305 Build 16.0.16501.20074) 64-bit

After office was uninstalled and reinstalled it had Version 2304 in place and the process worked without the Word error

Thanks for adding this description. It does indeed revolve around Word. Microsoft is aware of the problem and is working it.

Grover, for me, I can open and use Word as normal. It, so far, appears to only be an issue when trying to merge from Access.
