Fingerprint auth for android phones

I have an issue with fingerprint auth for android phones that support this functionality.  I'm testing with a Samsung S5, configured with my hosted O365 email account.  I have a "Mobile Device Mailbox Policy" on my hosted Exchange server that requires a simple password with a minimum 4 digit PIN to unlock their device.  My iPhone users are able to unlock their phones using fingerprint auth.  Android users cannot.  This baffles me...  There is no setting in the Microsoft policy that addresses the use of fingerprints. Why, I don't know.  Has anyone been able to get their Android users to fingerprint auth to unlock the phone screen?

Hi Dean,

Thank you for your time and patience.

After investigation, we found that it’s an expected behavior.

For iOS 7 and later, MDM policies allow fingerprint to unlock devices.

For Android and Samsung KNOX, Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, Windows RT, allow fingerprint unlock is not feasible.

You can also refer to Policy settings for mobile devices in this article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-sg/library/dn913730.aspx.

Thanks,

Brook

Actually, I'm using hosted Exchange 2013, not On-prem.
