    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I understand you're having trouble with your Wi-Fi connection on your Lenovo Ideapad with Windows 11. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you could try:

    1. Check Your Power Settings: Sometimes, your computer may turn off the Wi-Fi to save power. Navigate to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > Wireless Adapter Settings. Make sure both 'On battery' and 'Plugged in' are set to 'Maximum Performance'.
    2. Reset Your Network: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status. Under 'Advanced network settings', select 'Network reset'. Your PC will restart and attempt to reset all network adapters.
    3. Disable VPN or Proxy: If you are using a VPN or proxy, it may interfere with your connection. Try disabling them and see if that fixes the problem.
    4. Contact Your ISP: There might be a problem with your ISP's end. If none of the above steps work, it would be a good idea to contact them and see if they can help.

These steps are just some common solutions for Wi-Fi connectivity issues. If you need more help, don't hesitate to ask.

    Best regards

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

I understand you're still experiencing issues with your Wi-Fi. Let's try a few more troubleshooting steps:

    1. Network Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can sometimes resolve these issues. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Network Adapter.
    2. Flush DNS and Reset TCP/IP: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands, one at a time:
       ipconfig /release

       ipconfig /flushdns

       ipconfig /renew

       netsh int ip reset

       netsh winsock reset

    3. Check for Interference: Other electronic devices can interfere with your Wi-Fi signal, causing it to drop out. Try moving your computer closer to your router, or moving other electronic devices away from your computer.
    4. Update BIOS: It's a bit advanced, but sometimes a BIOS update can resolve issues like this. Lenovo's website will have instructions on how to do this for your specific model. Disclaimer:  Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.   If you are going to modify BIOS Settings, please back up all your personal files first to ensure you do not lose data.
    5. Contact Lenovo Support: If none of these steps work, you might need to reach out to Lenovo's customer support. They may have additional solutions, or it could be a hardware issue that needs to be serviced.

Remember to restart your computer after each step to ensure any changes are properly applied.

There are clearly major problems with Windows 11 wi-fi and Lenovo. It is not clear yet whether the problem is more Lenovo or more Windows 11, but I suspect there is some problem in both, which is the reason this is not yet fixed. I have been trying for a year to get my new IdeaPad 5i (the highest laptop version other than some gaming machines) working, specifically the wi-fi connection, including sending it to the Lenovo depot. Nothing has made it work. Yes, all drivers and BIOS are up-to-date.

And I see many people are having wi-fi issues with Windows 11, in general. Not a good situation!
