Auto Sign-In Missing From Netplwiz

I did a clean install of Windows 112 and normally I open Netplwiz.exe to automatically sign in but I didn't see the option to Automatically log-in.

Where do I find this?

I looked in sign-in options but found nothing.

    Hi James

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device

    Double click DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion

Set its Value Data to 0 and click OK

Restart (not shut down) your PC

Then, click your Start Button, then just type netplwiz and press Enter

The option to turn off the password requirement should now be available to you.

When I went to that key the value was already set to 0.

But, when I back into Netplwiz the option was there requiring the login.

It was already checked form the last time I unchecked the requirement. So, I rebooted and

Windows told me the username or password was incorrect.

I rechecked it the requirement login and rebooted turned it off and it seems fine now.

    Phew!

    Was this an oversight?
