Standalone install also failed for me. There is something very wrong with this update.
KB5055523 and .NET Framework failed to install, then suddenly disappeared when I retry
Something's wrong with Windows 11 Updates for KB5055523 and .NET Framework. I tried installing the updates and waited until they finished installing. After I restarted the computer, I got to Windows Update again, but I got a message that these updates failed to install. When I retried, the updates suddenly disappeared from Update History! That's very strange! Why did the updates get pulled from Windows Update without a trace? 😟

Yeah and I don't know about anyone else, but mine consistently fails with an Error code: (0x80070003). I have never had any Windows Updates issues with this current system. Looking around I'm seeing quite a lot of reports regarding this Windows Update specifically. Seems like the kind of issue to review the update about. KB5055523

2025-04-09T12:34:37+00:00 David,
Help with what? The update still will not install. The issue is not resolved for my system and the Windows Update Troubleshooter did not work and find the issue. I've also tried to download and install manually. When these steps do not work, what next?

2025-04-08T19:29:25+00:00 Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.
Although it is strange behavior, it is not something to worry about.
Let's confirm that the update was actually installed by checking the current "OS Build" of your system.
- Press "Windows + R", type winver, and click OK.
If the OS Build is "26100.3775", it indicates that the update was successfully installed, and no additional actions are required on your part.
If you want, share a screenshot. Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.
