Hello,

I'm Akshansh

I recently opened the Task Manager and then went to Startup tab and I saw there is unknown app is running in background from startup of the windows 11. How can I find the app and uninstall it...

My PC specs are:

i7 11700k

32 GB DDR4 RAM 3600MHz

ROG Z590-E Motherboard

ROG RTX3080 GPU

I think it was because of GPU, then I removed the GPU from the PC and running it on iGPU but the unknown app is still running in background.

App Name is just only "Program"

See the photo blow:-

How can I uninstall this app and where it's may be located?

Thank You

There is nothing to worry about, it's not a malware. It's just a leftover startup entry that wasn't removed while uninstalling the app.

Right-click any of the headers on the top of Task Manager's Startup tab > choose Command line > expand the full location > go to the location shown and delete the folder / file related to the app there.

Or, press Win key + R > type regedit and press Enter > click Yes when prompted > click on the address bar in the window and paste this address, then press Enter:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Right-click the key on the right side of the app and choose Delete, proceed to delete the key.

Restart your device and check again.
