Windows is trash and it's malware, we know it.
But Windows is killing the life of my external harddrives disconnecting them despite I chose on my power plan to never turn off harddrives. Why?
How can I fix them?
An external drive? Is it a USB drive? If so then USB power settings are separate. USB devices tend to support a "shutdown" mode when they aren't in use. You should review your USB settings and ensure the USB device isn't shut down. The Hard disk
power settings are generally for your drives connected to the SATA controllers, not external drives.
