deleted or moved folders regenerate themselves back to the old Odrner overnight

Hello All,

we have a problem with our folder structure in Sharpoint or OneDrive. If we delete or move folders, then the olders regenerate themselves back to the old folder overnight. These folders are then without content, but with all subfolders.

The new folder, either in the trash can or moved new folder remains with all files. That's good, but the old Odnrer must not be automatically restored again!

What is also striking is that the person in "changed by" can never be the person. This is also abnormal.

How can that be? Who has an idea for the solution

Thanks in advanced

//Michael

    Hi @Michael Burg_A1

    According to your case description, this may be caused by the synchronization settings or sharing settings of OneDrive. Here are some possible solutions:

    • Check the synchronization status: Make sure that OneDrive on all devices has been synchronized. Try to pause synchronization before deleting the folder, then delete the folder and resume synchronization. How to Pause and Resume sync in OneDrive
    • Disconnect synchronization from other devices: If your OneDrive is synchronized to multiple devices, it may cause the deleted folder to be automatically restored. Try to temporarily disconnect the synchronization of other devices, then delete the folder and see if it will be automatically restored.
    • Check the sharing settings: If the folder is shared with others, they may be recovering the deleted folder. Please check the sharing settings and confirm that only you have the permission to make changes and delete folders.
    • Delete in mobile device: Try to delete this folder in the OneDrive application in the mobile device, and go to Settings-Recycle Bin to clear the folder and observe what happens.
