You should be fine. Microsoft is simply spamming this across all possible channels in order to avoid issues come October. If your account is already protected by MFA, nothing else is needed.
Mandatory MFA enablement by Oct 15th required if MFA is enabled for Microsoft Account?
I received an email for a tenant I have w/ a single subscription that MFA is required to be enabled on the tenant by Oct 15th.
I only use this subscription currently for the cloud storage. I access it through the Azure Portal using a Microsoft Account which does have MFA (Microsoft Authenticator App) enabled on that MA account (via @outlook.com MFA profile setup). Also, I use the command line w/ azcopy to do uploads to Azure Blob Storage. Basically, this is all to store data in the cloud.
Do I need to enable this if I access using an Microsoft account like @outlook.com? Going through the portal I don't see where to enable this tenant wide except for an area it wants me to sign-up for some Entra MFA premium trial. Under the manage -> authentication methods of my MSFT account in the Azure Portal it links me to the "Access Panel Profile" but that page will not let me logon using a "personal account".
Do I even need to do anything here? Advice?
Thanks!
