Where to download the original Windows 7 gadgets?

I downloaded a gadget that deleted all of the original gadgets from my system. I have tried the "Recover the original gadgets installed with Windows..." but it says there are no recoverable gadgets, and my system's gadget folder is empty. Couldn't find the downloads anywhere from the maze that is Microsoft's website and I really wouldn't want to reinstall my Win7 just for this.

//Well it was more that the program I installed installed its own gadget too, which in turn emptied my gadget folder.

You might try a system restore point to before you accidently uninstalled the gagdets folder.

To choose a System Restore point,

    ·         From the Desktop click the Pearl (start) button

    ·         In the Search Field type “System Restore” and hit enter

    ·         Once System Restore is open, select the option “choose a different restore point” and hit next

Once on the next screen, pick a restore point to go back to when it last worked for you. Once you select the restore point, click next, then select finish, this will start the restore process.

Let us know if this helps.

Please re-read my post, I thought it was perfectly clear that I have done that, multiple times actually, and it tells me "there are no recoverable Windows gadgets" or something, that was loosely translated from Finnish. I was not asking a tutorial for how to do that...

I'm sorry I misread your post. It was not perfectly clear to me at least.

I guess I cannot help you.

    Good luck.
