Computer Configuration GPOs not working

None of my Computer Configuration GPOs are being applied to any of my machines but all of my User Configuration GPOs are being applied. If a GPO has a mixture of Computer Configuration and User Configuration then the GPO is applied however GPRESULT /H shows "No data available" for Computer Details.

For example, on my domain controller, Default Domain Policy IS applied but Default Domain Controller Policy is NOT applied.

Can anybody suggest how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

David

    Hi,

When you run the cmd as a logon user not the administrator , and run the gpresult /h report.html, the computer settings will show the message "No data available" .
Not sure if your case is the same.
Please try to run the cmd as administrator and check the result again.

Which OU are your computer accounts in?

The example I gave above was for the domain controller (there is only one on this site) and it is in the standard Domain Controllers OU. The Default Domain Policy is linked at the domain level and the Default Domain Controllers Policy is linked to this Domain Controllers OU.

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine, rename registry.pol file to registry.bak and refresh the policy with gpupdate /force.

Thanks FanFan. I did as you suggested and there were my Computer Configuration results, just as I had created them.
