Hi Admin,

The issue is related to my personal Microsoft account login. Below are the steps I took before getting the issue.

  1. Enabled the cloud backup on old Samsung phone.
  2. Installed the Microsoft Authenticator on the new Motorola phone.
  3. Clicked the "Begin recovery" option and authenticated my Microsoft account using the sign-in notification on the old phone.
  4. Got all the accounts restored on the new Motorola phone without issue.
  5. Now whenever I login I get the sign-in notification on my new phone but when I try to approve it, I get "Your screen lock has changed. Phone sing-in will no longer work for **@.com. You will need to enable phone sign-in again on your account"
  6. I tried "Re-enable phone sign-in" but even that isn't helping.
  7. By the way sign-in notification is still working perfectly fine on my old phone.

Below is how my security page looks like.

Microsoft Security Page

I have tried many things including things mentioned in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1333208/microsoft-authenticator-says-that-the-lock-screen, but nothing is working.

Thanks,

Chandramani Pandey
