After UR6 installed on SCDPM 2019 UR5, all scheduled VM level recovery point failed immediately (ID: 30135)

Hi All,

We installed the UR6 patch on all of our SCDPM 2019 UR5 servers.

We use separate DPM servers for guest-level backups and separate DPM servers for host-level backups.

Later we realized, the scheduled backups run immediately to an error (ID: 30135), then automatically start a Consistency Check after 10 minutes.

The error: The replica of Microsoft Hyper-V VMNAME on HOSTLEVEL_DPM is not consistent with the protected data source.

DPM has detected changes in file locations or volume configurations of protected objects since the data source was configured for protection. (ID 30135)

This happened only on our host level backup servers. Guest level DPM servers not affected in this issue.

We try to restart DPMRA services on hosts, doesn't help. Try to restart the DPM server and the Host too, doesn't help. Try to recreate the Protection Group, doesn't help.

Would you be so nice to give me some advise? Is there any working workaround?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Zsolt

ps:

I checked the SCDPM 2019 UR6 KB article and this issue is not in the Known Issues, but I found it in the SCDPM 2022 UR2 KB article as a Known Issues...

    Hi,

It appears that the troubleshooting steps you mentioned having already carried out include restarting the DPMRA services on hosts, restarting the DPM server and the host, and recreating the Protection Group. However, none of these actions have been effective in resolving the issue.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact the CSS support team for further assistance.
