Which Signing Preference should I use in MSIX packaging tool

I am trying to create an MSIX installing package to be used in the Microsoft Store. In the Signing Preference, I have to select an option. The options are Sign with Design Guard Signing version 2, Sign with a Certificate (.pfx), Sign a .cer file (does not sign), and Do no sign package.

I have tried all options, and none of the packages I created passed the test in Microsoft Partner Center. Below, you can see the warnings enclosed in the red rectangle, indicating that something is wrong with the MSIX package.User's image

If anybody knows how to create an MSIX installing package that can pass the Microsoft Partner Center test, please let me know.

Thanks,

Kam

    Hi @Pixel Perfect Reports ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

According to the error message "Package URL should be with https:// and should point to a versioned, downloadable package". The reason for your authentication failure is the wrong package URL.

Links from cloud storage like OneDrive and Google drive are not accepted by Store. Azure cloud storage might be the same. It is recommended that you try using a server to host your msix file, please fill in the correct package URL as required in the document.

You must enter at least one versioned secure URL pointing to app package (MSI/EXE) hosted on your CDN. An example of versioned secure URL is https://www.contoso.com/downloads/1.1/setup.exe. When customer installs your app from the Store, the Store downloads the package from this URL. You need to follow good CDN practices and ensure that this URL is performant, reliable, and available based on your market selection.

    Thank you.
