MDM Authority Showing Unknown

Question

Team, I had setup a lab and trying to enroll devices and practicing Intune.

When I check Tenant details > MDM Authority is set to Unknown. I did some research and I came to know that I get orange color banner to open the Mobile Device Management Authority setting.

I never noticed any kind of banner.

Can I change MDM Authority to Intune? Or I need to create a new account?

@Santhosh B S, Thanks for posting in Q&A. For your tenant, please ensure you have purchase Intune subscription. Here is a trial one.

Please also ensure there's Microsoft Intune license in your environment.

After that, check if the MDM Authority is Microsoft Intune. If still not, you can go to 'Troubleshooting + Support' --> 'Guided scenarios' option from the Intune admin center. When you choose the 'Set up a test device to try out cloud management' option, the MDM Auth selection window automatically appears and allows Intune to be selected.

Symptom:

• You need to set Intune as the MDM authority because Intune currently shows the MDM Authority as either Office 365 or None
