Azure dns name server not working for my domain

Hi there team,

Thanks in advance for looking into this issue for me. Any hint as to how I can resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

I Added the IP address provided by Azure VPS .i.e. 20.204.180.206 to my Domain Child nameserver

The name servers are ns1.vanijya.biz and ns2.vanijya.biz

Earlier i was using AWS but was not satisfied by their services then someone suggested to use Azure 12 month free if i find it good then I will switch to its Paid plans.

You can check https://dnschecker.org/#A/ns1.vanijya.biz it will show only 3 locations resolved and its been more than 10 days i am trying

My domain provider has asked to question the Server support.

Please help me so that it gets resolved as I need it only in INDIA and its resolving in Pakistan etc but not in INDIA.

I am afraid I did not understand your requirement/environment here

May I ask from which domain Registrar did you purchase your domain?

I see you get the Public IP 20.204.180.206 from an Azure VM - This is clear

However, what is misleading is the name servers

Can you confirm if you have Delegated the domain to Azure's nameservers at your registrar?

See : Host your domain in Azure DNS

Only after this steps are done, will Azure act as your Domain manager (your registrar will remain the same )

And Azure DNS name servers will have suffixes as below

.azure-dns.com,

.azure-dns.net,

.azure-dns.org, and

.azure-dns.info

If done, can you share the screenshot of the Azure name servers updated in your Domain registrar?

Hello Kapil ,

I have domain on resellerclub panel and earlier i was using AWS and the similar way as done in AWS i did change the IP in child nameservers of the new Azure Server but it is resolving only in 3-4 locations and its been many days

I did not use the azure DNS my existing DNS are

ns1.vanijys.biz

ns2.vanijya.biz

why is the nameservers ns1.vanijya.biz and ns2.vanijya.biz resolving on few locations and not on others ? U can check the below screenshot please

This is related to DNS Propagation issue.

As you are not hosting your DNS on Azure, I am afraid I cannot provide any comments on this.

Please check with your Registrar as to why the name servers are not getting resolved.

What i did was as i have done in AWS but please guide me what to do so that my domain is connected to Azure server .

I am afraid you are misunderstood.

The DNS is not managed by Azure and I am not sure how we can assist you here.

Your Domain registrar would be the right entity to comment on why the propagation is not happening.
