Trouble setting up scan to email with M365 Work Account

Hello,
I am having trouble setting up scan to email using an account with our domain via M365 subscription. I have tried using an app password to enable communication as well as regenerating the app password, but it still refuses to send confirmation emails from the printer.
I used smtp.office365.com, 587, account, and app password for said account.
Can anyone advise me on how to get it working? I appreciate any help.
