HI Shivani Khurana ,
Transaction Cost for Blob Tiers (30 Days)
For Azure Blob Storage, The transaction cost calculation depends on the tier (Hot, Cool, Archive) and the type of operations performed. Here’s how
You can check Estimated monthly cost by below pricing calculator.
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/storage/blobs/
- Data Storage: Charged per GB stored per month.
- Operations: Each operation ( read, write, list) has a cost per transaction.
- Data Transfer: Costs for data transferred out of Azure data centers.
- Metadata: Charged per GB per month for metadata storage.
For example, if you have a blob in the Cool tier, the cost components would include:
- Storage Cost: Charged per GB stored.
- Transaction Cost: Charged per operation.
- Early Deletion Cost: If a blob is deleted before the minimum retention period (30 days for Cool tier), a prorated charge is applied.
- Number of Transactions: This is the total count of operations (like read, write, delete) performed in a month.
- Cost per Transaction: Each type of transaction has a specific cost associated with it, which varies depending on the service and tier.
**Estimated Monthly Cost=Number of Transactions×Cost per Transaction
